Master Sommeliers Xavier Rousset and Gearoid Devaney opened TRADE Soho in January 2019, a member’s club for the hospitality industry. The club quickly became the unofficial meeting place for the off-duty hospitality community, a sanctuary to enjoy great food and exceptional drinks. Whether it was a quick coffee, a working lunch, a business meeting or a late night dancing on the tables, TRADE Soho saw it all.

The advent of the COVID pandemic meant that sadly TRADE Soho was no longer viable in its current form, so Xavier & Gearoid made the decision to transform the site into a wine bar open to all, called The Black Book, named after TRADE Soho’s revered handwritten black book of rare and special wines. The decision was made to move TRADE’s member base to a virtual version of the members’ club, which is how TRADE Hospitality was born.

TRADE Hospitality app launched in late 2020 as an ecosystem of resources for hospitality professionals, including access to hospitality news, jobs, podcasts, webinars, events and a marketplace, alongside a stellar offering of hospitality-only perks and offers. The sleek, easy-to-use format makes for easy navigation for the notoriously busy hospitality worker, with a host of new benefits and support at the touch of the screen.

Its member base is constantly growing and spans all corners of the hospitality industry, from bartenders to chefs, sommeliers to producers, GMs to maître d’s, writers to suppliers, and everything in between.

TRADE Hospitality app is free to download from the App Store or Google Play. A paid-for VIP membership, offering access to partner private members’ clubs is also available, as are corporate memberships. Find out more about membership tiers here.
