TRADE has teamed up with Coravin for an evening at the Coravin Wine & Bubbles Bar, Mayfair. Greg Lambrecht, founder and inventor of Coravin, will demonstrate how the devices work and explain why they’re perfectly suited to every business offering a by-the-glass wine list. Guests will taste various champagnes and wines alongside cheese, charcuterie and snacks while learning first-hand how Coravin preserves wine.

 Beaujolais Nouveau is coming to The Black Book.

Celebrated on the third Thursday of November, typically just after midnight when the first wines of the 2021 harvest are released – The Black Book will be kicking things off next Wednesday and will have a selection of Beaujolais on the menu, along with a selection of Charcuterie de Lyon throughout the week.

Wednesday 17th is Magnum Night, where wines by the glass will be served from Magnums all night. We’ll have 5 reds and 5 whites, some Beaujolais and some other wines available from Magnums.

From midnight Beaujolais Nouveau will be served and they’re staying open until 2am.

The Drinks Trust Auction will be held in November 2021, it will be an online consumer auction hosted by renowned Whisky.Auction platform where bidders can purchase rare & unique bottles, gifts and money can’t buy experiences.

In light of what has been a tumultuous 18 months for the UK’s bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs, never has it been more crucial for the hospitality sector to build back and surpass its former glory as one of the most illustrious scenes in the world. This November, The Cream of the Crop Auction, run by The Drinks Trust, will have one distinct goal; to support the incredible drinks and hospitality industry workforce by providing them with services across vocational, wellbeing, financial and practical support. 

The Cream of The Crop is the first annual online auction of rare and exclusive lots hosted by The Drinks Trust. The charity encourages the drinks and hospitality industry business by donating a lot to what promises to be the drinks industry auction of the year. For the next event in our somm club series, we’ve chosen one of the most extraordinary terroirs in the world – Etna.   Located in Northeast Sicily, Mount Etna continues to erupt regularly, but that doesn’t stop prestigious winegrowers from planting vines within the nutrient-rich soils.  

Bring a bottle (red or white) from the region and join fellow somms to discuss wines from up to 3500 ft high.

This is our fourth Monday somm club, the second to take place at Cabotte.

TRADE Hospitality, Galvin Restaurants and Cabotte have partnered to launch a monthly lunch club for sommeliers. The Monday Somm Club is a special place for sommeliers and professional wine buyers to connect, network and enjoy each other’s company as well as share wine discoveries in a relaxed off-work setting over wine-themed lunch. 

A limited number of tickets are available for £40pp and include a welcome aperitif, three-course lunch, coffee and service charge.
